12 of 13 Stores Pass Alcohol Sting Operation; Valero Employee Arrested

A Flanders man was arrested after reportedly selling alcohol to a minor.

An employee of Cutchogue Valero station was arrested by New York State Police after he was reportedly caught selling alcohol to a minor during a police sting.

The Cutchogue Valero station, according to police, was the only one of 13 establishments in Southold found to be in violation.

According to police, 51-year-old Mohammad Ayub was charged on Feb. 27 with unlawful dealing with a child, a misdemeanor, and prohibited sale of an alcoholic beverage, a violation.
