What Are Your Favorite Fall Activities on the North Fork?

Early September is a great time to stop and smell the orchards.

Apples, pumpkins, cool breeze on the beach.

It feels like fall on the North Fork, and life is a peach.

That's right, summertime tourism has slowed, kids are back to school, the humidity has died down, and locals can take a breather in the cool early September air before farm stands swarm with pumpkin pickers and the holiday rush kicks in.

So what do you do to take advantage of this relaxing window of time on the North Fork? Clamming? Sailing? Road running? Trail hiking? Let us know in the boxes below. And feel free to write better poetry than the editor.
