Sick of Election Junk Mail?

Sound off about mail from candidates in the months leading up to the November election.

Mail from and about candidates is par for the course during election season. But when is it too much?

The picture attached to this question — which we pose to you — was taken after just one week of mail to a single mailbox.

Among them in that pile, The New York Republican State Committee sent one bashing Rep. Congressman Tim Bishop, D-Southampton. The New York State Democratic Committee did the same, going after challenger Randy Altschuler, including one for his opposition to a woman's right to choose and two alleging his company's outsourcing of jobs. Then the Republican State Committee fired back with mailings that said Bishop's attacks about sending jobs oversees isn't true.

Prosperty First Inc., a super PAC which is not authorized by any candidate or candidate's committee, has sent out several mailings attacking Bishop's record and endorsing challenger Randy Altschuler — The group even PhotoShopped Nancy Pelosi to look like she is playing Chess.

Altschuler's committee, Altschuler for Congress, has also sent out several mailings, as has Senator Ken LaValle, R-Port Jefferson.

How much do you receive? Do you read it? Or does it go straight in the trash? Do the messages sway your vote at all? Remind you to vote in November? Tell us in the comments below.
