Hunter, a gorgeous 11-month-old Lab mix found wandering the streets of the North Fork over two weeks ago, was never claimed and has been up for adoption at the .
One can't help but notice his most striking feature upon meeting Hunter — his gorgeous light green eyes. Afterwards it's definitely easy to fall in love with the incredible and unique doggie smile that he shows off when he's about to be handed a toy or a treat.
What's puzzled most of the staff at the shelter is why Hunter wasn't scooped up and adopted instantly. Even with his one negative puppy habit of being mouthy, something that according to office manager Gabby Glantzman, "can be curbed fairly easy with proper and consistent positive ," his positive traits outweigh the one negative by far.
Hunter is also very treat-motivated to learn new tricks and already knows some basic commands.
Hunter will surely make someone a wonderful playmate, walking/running buddy, and all-around dedicated companion.
Hunter would even be a great addition to a family who already has pets, as he is good with both cats and dogs.
Stop by or call the shelter during their regular hours to set up a playdate with Hunter or one of the other incredible dogs they have waiting to be adopted.
