Healthy Growth

While living on Greenport’s Main Street; weekend and early evening walks became a regular habit for me. Although I enjoyed my daily routine, I always felt that something was missing.  A sought a local gathering place, something similar to the local town greens that, having grown up in New England, were so familiar to me. I longed for a place to sit and relax under a canopy of trees, share a cup of coffee or a sandwich, or maybe an ice cream cone, while conversing with friends, old or new.

Now living in Laurel, I still make frequent visits to Greenport and recently stumbled upon a wonderful newer venue on Main Street! The Square offers the perfect post-shopping destination, where I can bide my time on the weekend, listening to our talented local musicians in a safe and wholesome environment.

I wanted to share my little discovery, because I feel that this little Square in Greenport is going to be part of a much larger picture…one that includes healthy change and continued growth for the people of our North Fork community.
