Make Jack's Holiday Wish Come True

Jack's a gentle and sweet three-year-old kitty who's been tossed around by too many owners — now all he wants for Christmas is his forever family.

This week we met a special kitty named Jack, who comes to us through , a dedicated group of volunteers working day in and day out to improve the lives of domestic and feral cats.

Adopted out by SAVES as a kitten, Jack was recently returned by his owner of three years.  He was then adopted out again, but was brought back to SAVES one month later,  because his new feline siblings wouldn't accept him.

As a foster cat of SAVES President Al LaFrance, Jack has been able to learn to trust.  "At first he was scared and felt safer hiding under the bed.  Now that's completely changed as he's become much happier curled up on the bed,"  said LaFrance.

But even though Jack is in a safe haven for the moment in LaFrance's home he must be brought to Adoption Events, which stress him out.

Hopefully Santa can make Jack's wish come true.  "Jack told Santa that he's ready to go to his forever home — where he can love and be loved," LaFrance said.

Jack must go to a family where he's the only feline.

Be sure to visit some of SAVES other rescued cats at Riverhead Petco.
