A remembrance service for accomplished horse trainer Ross Reisner, who was fatally shot at his home on Tuesday, will be held on Sunday in Queens.
Newsday reports that a service will take place at 3:30 pm. at Sinai Chapels in Fresh Meadows. The funeral home also told Newsday that services for Reisner are still incomplete.
Police said Reisner, the co-owner of Maple Lane Farm in Mattituck, died at Stony Brook University Hospital on Tuesday night after a shooter or shooters fired multiple shots through a side window in his home on Upper Sheep Pasture Road. Police have not identified a suspect but Daily News reported that detectives are seeking a long-time friend for questioning.
Reisner, 50, has been remembered as someone who "could light up a room."
"He was sort of the one who was always cracking a joke or saying something that made people laugh. That's how I'm going to remember him," said Bobby Ginsberg, Reisner's childhood friend and business partner.
