Funeral Services Set for Monday for Man Killed in Industrial Accident
Visitation will be held on Monday in Mattituck.
A Southold man killed in a tragic industrial accident in Mattituck Thursday will be laid to rest next week.
Visitation for Andrew Leone will be held at Defriest-Grattan Funeral Home in Mattituck from 4 to 7 p.m.
Funeral services and burial will be private, according to the funeral home.
According to Southold Town police, Leone, 30, was killed after an industrial accident, during which a man, 53, was operating a skid-steer at 1:23 p.m. on Sound Avenue on Thursday when the bucket fell off, striking Leone in the head and causing severe trauma.
Leone was pronounced dead at the scene from his injuries, police said.
The Suffolk County Medical Examiner's Office responded to assist with the investigation.
The case is being investigated as an accident and is not criminal in nature, police said.
