Staging is very relevant in todays North Fork real estate market. Presentation and value is very important with consumers in this economy, especially with high value purchases.  Today we are in a buyers market and that means there is a wide selection of homes for sale.  Staging gives your home with a voice and tells a story with the goal of making a lasting impression during a showing.

Staging a home should be fun and prepared with a plan to speak to the largest audience of potential home buyers.  If the home has a vacation home vibe and is located in one of the many North Fork beach communities, the house should present itself with that lifestyle in mind. The garage is stocked with beach chairs and bicycles. The living room should feature sisal rugs, soft fabrics, white candles nestled in hurricane holders anchored with beach sand. The back yard offers kayaks, beach towels and comfortable patio furniture. 

Staging is often very easy on the wallet.  Frequently staging is accomplished by editing the rooms with fewer accessories and furnishings. People respond negatively to visual clutter. Removing extra photos, pictures, arrangements and figurines will go a long way. Review the size and space of the room and place the furniture to maximize the use of the room.
