Holiday Guide: 10 Places to Buy Toys on the North Fork

If you are looking for one special toy or enough to stock a workshop, businesses across the North Fork have a variety to choose from.

Whether you are looking for a toy for a little kid or a kid at heart, the North Fork has a number of large and small stores that have the perfect holiday toys. You may be helping Santa’s workshop, selecting a toy to donate for Toys for Tots, or finding a perfect gift for your little host or hostess, there are plenty of spots throughout the North Fork with unique gifts. Here’s a list of ten places to buy toys on the North Fork.

  1. in Southold has an entire room filled with puzzles, stuffed animals, games, art supplies and more. The store has gifts for children of all ages.
  2. Goldsmith Toys and Electronics in Greenport sells more than just electronics. The store has a large stock of puzzles, Play Mobile and Melissa and Doug products. If you are a fan of rubber duck’s, Goldsmith’s has too many to count.
  3. One-Eyed Bob’s in the newest incarnation of the Arcade in Greenport. Though Bob’s is only open Friday through Monday, it sells many of the children’s product’s the Arcade used to carry and more.  Everything from Barbie and trucks to popular games can be found on the shelves.
  4. in Greenport may not be the first place you think of when the word “toys” comes up, but make no mistake, this thrift store sells a wide variety of gently used toys many children would be thrilled to have.
  5. The Southold Emporium has been open for less than a year but it is worth a stop to find everything from well-priced stocking-stuffers to winter children’s books.
  6. Rite Aid in Mattituck is more than just a drug store. This chain store has a wide variety of the hottest toys of the season.
  7. in Mattituck has rows of toys including everything from popular dolls, super heroes to stuffed animals. Check their online circular for some of the latest sales.
  8. in Mattituck sells jewelry and stationary but in the windows young shoppers can see a variety of the popular Webkinz that children love to collect.
  9. The Southold Pharmacy is a perfect place to pick up a plush toy on the way to a party.
  10. Renee's Kids Corner in the Mattituck Plaza has more than just stylish children’s clothes. The shop has a number of Melissa and Doug items, crafts by Klutz, and fashion-related toys targeted at young girls.
