Join Me This Last Week of 2011 for Great Listening on WPKN 89.5 FM
WPKN 89.5 is great radio for listening to 2011 give way to 2012. Happy new year!
It's the last week of the year 2011 and, at least for me and everyone I talk to, a year we will always remember. As I try to make sense of the tumult and confusion everywhere I look, I am grateful that I can turn to WPKN for information and opinions I won't find in the mainstream media, which in turn allows me a deeper and more informed view of events.
I am grateful too for always being able to listen to so much music I've never heard before and, on a personal note, for the gift of being a WPKN programmer, to have the freedom to create my Tidings programs unlimited by anything except quality — and of course the time constraints of my monthly half hour!
Special thanks to my producer, Tony Ernst, whose program, East End Ink, you can hear on the fourth Wednesday of every month at 7:30 p.m. I am sure my fellow programmers share my gratitude and my belief that the world is a better place for having WPKN in it!
