Kids Collect Halloween Candy for Troops Overseas

Kids can donate extra candy to raise funds for their elementary school.

This Halloween, local kids can donate their extra Halloween candy to share with children overseas.

The Mattituck-Cutchogue PTA's annual surplus Halloween Candy Fundraiser is set to kick off.

Children should bring extra Halloween candy to Cutchogue East Elementary School. The candy collected will be sent overseas for troops to distribute to local children.

And it's a win-win: The school will receive $1 per pound of candy collected.

The collection bins will be in the main lobby from Nov. 1 through Nov. 9.
