'Nutcracker' Raises $6,500 for Eastern Long Island Hospital

The performance was held at Peconic Landing.

Eastern Long Island Hospital had one word to say after a performance of "The Nutcracker" at Peconic Landing by the Eglevsky Ballet School: Bravo.

The performance raised $6,500 for patient care at ELIH.

Peconic Landing, of Greenport and Bethpage based Eglevsky Ballet,  co-sponsors of a live performance of The Nutcracker raised $6,500 for patient care at Eastern Long Island Hospital.  

The December event was a North Fork premier performance for the Bethpage-based ballet company.

“The Eglevsky Ballet students put on a spectacular show,” said Paul J. Connor III, President/CEO ELIH.  “We are very grateful to the performers who volunteered their time, Peconic Landing for underwriting the event, and to the staff and residents who helped make the event a success.”  

Over 160 tickets were sold.

“Peconic Landing captured the true meaning of the season,” adds Connor.   “It’s all about neighbors caring for neighbors.”
