We have decided to cancel the Greenport Farmers’ Market for Saturday August 27th.
We feel that this is best for safety sake. We are concerned about the forecast for increasing winds tomorrow and thunderstorms. There is no reason to put any one at risk. Plus, the farmers need to take every opportunity to harvest as many crops as possible before the storm hits. Many of us have our own preparations to get ready for flooding and power outages.
Look forward to seeing you next Saturday, for what we hope to be a sunny Labor Day Weekend!
