First Annual Shelter Island Chamber of Commerce DUCK RACE. Get ready! get set! watch your duck swim to the Finish Line! The 1st annual DUCK RACE is a FUNdraiser in support of the Chamber's mission and to encourage "shopping locally". Contestants sponsor a Rubber Ducky that will swim to victory in the raging waters of Chase creek on Sunday August 19th. $20 will buy a Rubber Ducky sponsorship to support the Chamber but also have a chance to win $$$. participants and viewers will cheer on the ducks from Volunteer Park at the Bridge.
