Geminid Meteor Shower Party & Stargazing

A meteor shower from Dec. 6 to 19 is a cause for a party at Custer Institute, especially since the meteors from this shower originate from an asteroid 3200 Phaethon and is radiating from the constellation Gemini. The shower peaks on the morning of Dec. 14 when as many as 60 per hour may appear according to Custer. The institute suggests bringing a blanket or a lawn chair to watch the meteor shower.
