Rugged Run for Respect

Special Olympics New York has 61,582 athletes training and competing year-round in 22 Olympic-style sports.  Our athletes and their families or caregivers are NEVER CHARGED to participate! It costs $400 to support training and competition for one athlete for one sports season.

The Rugged Run for Respect is a 5k out-and-back course, complete with body bending obstacles, will not only test your physical strength and agility, but your mental stability as well. You will crawl through tunnels, trudge through mud and carry sand bags across varied distances… all for a great cause!

Waves begin at 10am and continue every 15 minutes ending at 12:30pm. Competitive Heats are at 10:00am and 10:15am

Log onto www.ruggedrunforrespect.org/longisland to register or join a team, plus get great tips on team building and fundraising ideas.  Even if runnin' isn't your thing, you can sponsor a participant.

Early Bird Registration (through July 31): $65
