Alison Branco is the Director of the Peconic Estuary Program, a unique partnership of federal, state and local governments, scientists and citizens that has been working to protect and restore the environmental health of the Peconic Bays for over 20 years. She will discuss the unique environmental challenges currently facing the Peconic Estuary, the role the Peconic Estuary Program plays in solving them, and plans to expand the program and re-kindle local participation. She will also discuss ways the North Fork Audubon Society can partner with PEP on common goals and other opportunities for members to get involved.
