Family Western BBQ Event Comes to Harbes Western Farm in Jamesport.

Farm fresh fare and Western themed activities for buckaroos of all ages are at Harbes Western Farm in Jamesport on August 17.

Harbes Western Farm in Jamesport (http://www.harbesfamilyfarm.com/western-farm/) introduces a new event on Saturday, August 17, the Harbes Western Family BBQ (Barbeque). The Western themed “chuck wagon style” out in the open family BBQ dinner will take place from 5 PM until 8 PM.  In addition to the dinner, which includes pulled pork, spare ribs, hot dogs, roasted super sweet corn, grilled veggies, salads and dessert, there will be games and family activities. They include singing hayrides, working border collie demonstrations (kids can play with the friendly dogs after the performance), music, pony rides, a bounce-house, roping lessons on how to lasso a make-believe steer and more. The ticketed event is $19.95 for children under 12 years-old and $24.95 for adults, infants are free. Additional beverages are available for a nominal fee. Tickets are available at the Harbes Western Farm in Jamesport and at Harbes Family Farm at 715 Sound Avenue in Mattituck.

The Harbes Western Farm Jamesport property features a country setting complete with its own fish pond and farm animal corrals. An authentic Native-American teepee, wine cabin, corn-maze and other frontier town structures fill the 40-acre landscape.
