The
U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Renovation, Repair and Painting
(EPA’s RRP) Final Rule (40 CFR 745) mandates that restorations performed
for compensation, should be carried out by Certified Firms utilizing
Certified Renovators. Renovation businesses that prefer to work in homes
and child-occupied facilities built before 1978 must sign up for EPA
and make a fee to become certified. Renovators aiming to become
certified must effectively accomplished an EPA-accredited renovator
training course. This EPA RRP
training course or lead safety certification class is the EPA model
course and must meet all of the requirements in 40 CFR 745.90.
