North Fork Sculptor Robert Strimban will be the guest speaker
at the Judaism and Art Program in the Community room at Congregation Tifereth Israel Greenport.
The Judaism and Art Program series, coordinated by Debra Riva
and Saul Rosenstreich explores the work of Jewish art and artists
and if and how Judaism infuses their themes.
Robert Strimban, known for his bright aluminum sculptures of animals
and figures as well as his series of classic movie stars, has been
working recently on paper sculptures. He intends to bring some of
his smaller works to the lecture, and to explain his process
in making paper sculptures.
