BEGINNING BIRDWATCHERS WORKSHOP II: SONGBIRD MIGRATION

Songbirds of all sorts migrate through the woods of eastern Long Island in mid-May. This day will begin with a short nature walk at the Downs Farm Preserve in Cutchogue searching for warblers, vireos, thrushes, flycatchers, tanagers, and others. The workshop will continue indoors at the Downs Farm Nature Center, with introductions to the identification challenges and distinctive songs of some common songbird migrants. We will conclude the day at a second East End location to continue our search for these colorful birds. Reservations are required as space is limited to 12 participants. Program fee: $10 per person. For reservations or more information, please contact Steve Biasetti at 631-765-6450 ext. 205 or sbiasetti@eastendenvironment.org.
