Band Concert

                                    

The No Doubt World Famous Monday Night
Band
, operating under the auspices of the Riverhead School District and directed by John
Eyre, invites you to attend the final concert of its 68th season on
Sunday afternoon, May 4th in the Howard Hovey Auditorium in the Pulaski Street School, Riverhead. The program
includes a wide variety of styles to please all musical tastes including
marches, and works by Leroy Anderson, Johann Strauss, Jr. and Ralph
Vaughan-Williams. Special highlights will be a symphonic work based on songs of
Stephen Foster, arranged by jazz great Sammy Nestico for the Marine Band and
music from The Phantom of the Opera (music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, arranged by
Warren Barker. Featured guest soloists are Jenna Gagliardi (flutist) and Ryan
Murphy (French Hornist) this year’s winners of the Donald Howard Scholarship
Award for graduating senior members of the band. We invite you to come and hear these talented young musicians and
enjoy an afternoon of live music. The concert begins at 2:00 p.m. Admission is
free and the school is handicapped accessible. For further information please
