WATCH: Stormy Shores of Peconic Bay

Waters rise in Peconic Bay as storm approaches Long Island.

We're all gearing up for rain and possible thunderstorms Tuesday afternoon - and so is Peconic Bay, as seen in this video.

Patch reported earlier today that a wind advisory will go into effect Tuesday at noon and last until 6 a.m. Wednesday morning, with winds of 20 to 30 miles per hour and gusts of 50 or even 60 miles possible. Heavy rain and thunderstorms that are currently southwest of Long Island are expected to move in later this afternoon and tonight, arriving on the East End at approximately 5 p.m. and continuing overnight.
