'Morning Call,' a metal osprey memorial to those lost in the attacks of September 11, was flown by helicopter from its longtime home on the shoreline of Greenport Harbor to a spot in the middle of Jean Cochran Park in Peconic.
North Fork Helicopter transported the sculpture before 8 a.m. and gently dropped it face-down into a dirt pile. North Fork Welding lifted the column salvaged from the 33rd floor of the World Trade Center.
