A Southold woman has won $250,000 on a Mega Millions lotto ticket that she purchased for $5 three weeks ago.
Chilton Sullivan purchased the ticket, according to the New York State Lotto, at the 25-year-old Showcase Wine & Liquor store at 46455 Route 48 in Southold.
"It was very exciting," said Corinne Ferdenzi, owner of the store. "We were the only store in New York State to have a winner.
Ferdenzi said Sullivan won with five out of six numbers that were selected for her by a quick pick lotto machine.
"It is incredible to me," said Sullivan, "We are quite honored and thrilled to have a winner here."
Patch was not immediately able to contact Sullivan.
