"His subsequent assignments included Saint Sylvester parish, Medford and Saint Patrick parish, Bay Shore before becoming pastor of Christ the King, Commack in 1997," Reverend Murphy said in a statement. "He was then named pastor of Sacred Heart parish, in Cutchogue, in 2007."
