Leaves on the North Fork at this point are showing a wide variety of colors, some past their peak and on the ground, with others still green and waiting to turn. According to the New York Fall Foliage Report – a website run by the state Department of Economic Development that lets people know how the leaves are looking – the week of Oct. 17-23 was "mid-point" for the East End, with peak season just around the corner.
