PHOTOS: Leaves Turn on the North Fork

Fall arrived just over a month ago, but now's the time of year when leaves are changing colors and foliage is in full swing on the North Fork.

Leaves on the North Fork at this point are showing a wide variety of colors, some past their peak and on the ground, with others still green and waiting to turn. Most seem to fall somewhere in the middle as we approach what could be the last week for foliage fans to make a drive and see for themselves.

According to the New York Fall Foliage Report – a website run by the state Department of Economic Development that lets people know how the leaves are looking – the week of Oct. 17-23 was "mid-point" for the East End, with peak season just around the corner.

We took a drive on Tuesday morning. Here's what we saw. Feel free to share your own and let us kow what it's looking like in your neck of the woods.
