A photo sent in by Patch reader Ken Dolney of Southold is a sure signal that spring has sprung: The osprey have returned.

The photo, taken of an osprey nest on Mill Creek in Southold, is a harbinger of springtime.

Do you look for the osprey to return every season as a sign of spring? Have you seen any osprey yet this year? What's your favorite spot to view the osprey as they fly free overhead? Share your thoughts in the comments section.
