Only three days after Front Street in Greenport was buried in snow after Friday night's blizzard blanketed the village, on Tuesday, the sidewalks were clear -- all traces of the monster storm gone.
"Our road and utility crews have, once again, done an exemplary job under difficult circumstances," Greenport Village Mayor David Nyce said Tuesday afternoon. "They have worked tirelessly since last Friday morning to assure that village residents and businesses face the least amount of disruption possible. When you see them, please thank them."
