The power went out in several Mattituck homes shortly before 10 a.m. on Wednesday due to heavy rains Tuesday night and into Wednesday morning.
As of about 12:15 p.m. Wednesday, the outage map on the Long Island Power Authority's website still shows 118 Mattituck LIPA customers affected by the outage. A few homes in Southold are also still without power as of this time according to the map.
