May 17: Vote in School Elections, Art on the Farm, Memoir Writing
Tuesday is school election time and a chance to write your story.
You have the chance to vote in school elections after school in six North Fork School Districts on Tuesday — take advantage.
1. Budgets and school board candidates are up for public approval in the school districts of Mattituck-Cutchogue, New Suffolk, Southold, Greenport, Oysterponds, and Shelter Island. Click here for a roundup of coverage and a voter's guide.
2. After an early morning downpour, go for a walk with local wildlife at , 65275 Route 48 in Greenport, at 8 a.m. This walk is a special nature walk focusing on area songbirds. Call 631-477-645.
