Kid's Planner: This Weekend's Best Bets for the Family

From a play to toddler time, there's plenty happening on the North Fork for families this weekend.

Like basketball? Maybe you'd like to attend a family dinner/dance? This weekend’s best bets have lots to get you out of the house and moving.

Where/When: Thursday night at 6 p.m. in the gym at Mattituck High School.

Why Go: Whether or not you like basketball, the Harlem Wizards make for a great show. Where else can you see your gym teacher play against the pros?

Pricing: $10 in advance/$12 at the door.

Where/When: Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday at the Mattituck High School. Show starts at 7:30 p.m.

Why Go: Mattituck High School hasn’t had performed a musical in ages. These kids are excited to perform and who doesn’t love Charlie Brown?

Pricing: Tickets are $7.

 

Where/When: Southold Library on Friday night at 6:30 p.m.

Why Go: Need to get your tween out of the house? This movie is perfect for children in grades 4 and up.

Pricing: Free

 

Where/When: Floyd Memorial Library in Greenport on Saturday morning at 10 a.m..

Why Go: The weather hasn’t been great this week. Get your toddlers out and about in a safe, fun place.

Pricing: Free

 

Where/When: Saturday night at 7 p.m. at Peconic Landing.

Why Go: The proceeds from this event will go to Community Action Southold Town. Get the kids out for a great family dinner, music, and a good cause.

Pricing: $20 for adults/ $12 for children
