June 17: Theater Gala, CD Release Party, Jazz and Sushi

A big Father's Day weekend kicks off with lots of live music and a fundraiser for the local theater.

There's lots going on this weekend on the North Fork, from a CD release party in Southold to a gala for the local theater in Aquebogue.

1. Before indulging in weekend activities, get your hearing checked out free at , 539 First Street in Greenport, from 1 to 3 p.m. will be doing the screening. Call 631-477-0660.

2. Job Potter will be performing songs from his latest CD at , 54100 Route 25 in Southold, from 5 to 8 p.m. The performance by the Hampton's singer-songwriter is in conjunction with the "New England Folk Music Archive" show of photographs hanging in the gallery. Call 631-765-3770.

3. will be hosting its third annual Campaign Gala on Friday from 7 to 11 p.m. at the in Aquebogue. Come and enjoy food, musical performances by talented North Fork Community Theatre members, 50/50, silent auction, and more. Come and help keep live community theatre on the North Fork. 4. Get yourself a healthy helping of jazz and sushi at D'Latte's, 218 Main Street in Greenport, from 7 to 11 p.m. Dennis Raffelock and Lou Messana host the night, which includes an open mic.
