June 15: Slow Food, Cruise Night, Strawberry Fest

Shelter Island farm offers an internship in the name of Josh Levine and North Fork Patch previews the Strawberry Festival on Wednesday.

Midweek is a great time to check out some classic cars in Greenport, take a comedy class and continue to plan for the big Father's Day weekend.

1. The legacy of young farmer and employee Josh Levine, who last December, will be celebrated with an event on Shelter Island to announce a slow food summer internship program named to honor him. The event takes place at at 6:30 p.m. Come meet the enthusiastic young farmers who have been chosen as interns and learn more about Slow Food East End's commitment to supporting farming education here on the East End of Long Island. 3. Think you're funny? Check out a five-week session onbeginning at 5 p.m. at , 539 First Street in Greenport. It's a course on how to think, write and perform stand-up comedy routines. Call 631-477-0660.
