July 26: Southwest Travels, NoFo Rocker, Lots and Lots of Wine

Wonder what it's like to ride on the wine train? Stay tuned to find out and get ready for NoFo Rock and Folk Fest this coming weekend.

Take a virtual tour of the American Southwest in Mattituck and gear up for NoFo Rock and Folk Fest with the first of several artist profiles on Tuesday.

1. Escape to another part of the U.S. at , a presentation at the , 18200 Route 25 in Mattituck, at 7 p.m. There will be a general membership meeting and lecture at the New Egypt Schoolhouse. This event is free and open to the general public.The meeting will include a presentation/discussion by Dr. George Loweth. Call 631-298-5246.

2. Iona Costello will be hosting and teaching plein air drawing and providing her array of farm animals as study subjects along with the historic Corrazini Dairy Farm grounds on Albertson Lane in Greenport from spring through fall at . Six to eight artists sit midweek afternoons under the covered porch and enjoy one class or more.  More information is available though Winter Harbor Gallery, 211 Main Street Greenport. 3. is an exhibit at , 539 First Street in Greenport, at 10 a.m. that will take you to Mexico, Boliva, Brazil, Chile, Columbia, and India through paintings. Call 631-477-0660.
