UPDATE: Irene Prompts More Closings, Cancellations and Delays

Feel free to add any other closings you have heard about due to Hurricane Irene.

Here are a few more events we've gotten wind of cancelling. Please add any other cancellations or closings you have heard of in the comment boxes below:

  • Not knowing the exact landfall of Hurricane Irene, the committee of the has decided to reschedule the flight of the Osprey from Greenport to Peconic; The Osprey will now give flight by helicopter on Sept. 1.
  • Both the Riverhead and Greenport Railroad museums will be closed and this weekend's Riverhead Railroad Festival is cancelled.
  • has cancelled an appearance by Timothy Dring on the Beebe Rescue Boats.
  • The, where several North Fork equestrians are scheduled to ride, has been postponed until Aug. 31 in Bridgehampton.
  • The Meet the Artist Reception for Patricia Feiler and  Bob Miller, at the  is now scheduled for Thursday Sept. 1 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
  • The will be closed on Saturday, Aug. 27.
