Why Go?: To help save migrating birds such as the piping plover and the least tern. Help section off chucks of beaches so people won’t accidentally step on their eggs and learn about the animals. Go to http://northforkaudubon.org

 Why Go?: Johnny Kroo is a Sayville-based guitarist who just completed a CD and will keep you entertained while you indulge in a bottle of wine at Jason’s Greek-themed tasting room.

Why Go?: Want to help one of the oldest North Fork farms stay just as lush and beautiful as ever? If yes, then that’s why you want to go and take your kids to orientation day. Why Go?: Enjoy a Sunday hike at Goldsmith Inlet Park with a longtime resident of Peconic and expert on the beach and wildlife at the classic and gorgeous spot on the Long Island Sound. The hike is for anyone ages 9 and up. Please register in advance at 631-765-5182.

Why Go?: Are you still in love with the big band-era music of Cole Porter and George Gershwin — the true professors of Broadway? Then you just might want to take a nostalgic trip down memory lane with singer Susan Dingle and keyboardist David Dingle as they perform the music of Porter, Gershwin and other favorites from the Great American Song Book at the Creation Station behind the Cutchogue United Methodist Church.
