Contest Winner: Flashback to Another Blues Flashback
One lucky person wins a meet-and-greet with Johnny Winter and free passes to the Blues Festival.
It was a but fun nonetheless to hear people's positive memories and enthusiasm for the Riverhead Blues Festival.
With three vivid recollections it's hard to pick a winner. Selling beer while listening to some blues, and guest singing with one of the bands later on sounds like a blast. Reaching way back to the first Blues Festival, seeing the music get to the heart of the audience really gets to what music is all about for a lot of people.
But for us, Jerry Bilinski's flashback to yet another flashback is our winner. When someone has seen one of the acts at the Riverhead Blues Festival 50 years prior, it shows that not only has the act on stage been around for a while, but Jerry has been following these artists for, literally, decades.
