Oct. 6: Books, Football and Bond Issues

Just a few things you might want to check out this Wednesday.

Voting on whether or not to pass a $7.25 million bond to expand the Southold Free Library takes place next Saturday, Oct. 16. You will also be able to decide on Dec. 7 if spending $200 every year for a $8.6 million bond for building improvements to Greenport School is essential. So it's nice to know what we're paying for:

1. Check out our high school football game preview today — the Greenport/Southold/Mattituck/Shelter Island Porters will take on tougher competition facing the Center Moriches Red Devils Friday night.

2. Used books are available to purchase today at Southold Free Library's book cottage, as it is every Wednesday. Keep that mind strong.
