April 18: Passover, Quacker Jack Meet-and-Greet, More Earth Day Stuff

Meet the Long Island Ducks mascot and learn about biodynamic farming.

The eight-day holiday of passover is observed Monday night in Greenport while Earth Day coverage continues on North Fork Patch.

1. 519 4th Street in Greenport, will host members, guests and visitors in a Passover Seder on the first night of the eight-day holiday beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the community room of the synagogue. The ceremony will be followed by a dinner catered by kosher catering division headed by chef Costs are $65 for adults; $35 for youngsters and teens from ages 6 through 15 and no charge for children 5 and younger. 2. Meet the Long Island Ducks' Quacker Jack at , 539 First Street in Greenport, at 12 p.m. Wear your little league uniform for some great photos with Long Island's most famous duck and have a hot dog. Call 631-477-0660.

, 27550 Route 25 in Cutchogue, hosts a "creation cave" for young children on spring break at 9 a.m. Children under 8 must be assisted by an adult. Call 631-734-636.
