Punxsutawney Phil will made headlines again on Groundhog Day, Feb. 2, and The Humane Society of the United States is encouraging people to celebrate the day by learning more about our wild neighbors and ways to peacefully coexist. As Phil comes out of his hole after a long winter sleep, groundhogs everywhere are reemerging in gardens and yards throughout the country.

For the tenth year, Bethpage Federal Credit Union, New York State’s largest credit union, will help low- to moderate-income households on Long Island prepare their tax returns for free, by offering Long Island’s largest Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program at 12 of its Long Island branch locations.

Polar Plunge To Benefit Maureen's Haven

On Feb. 9, Maureen’s Haven homeless shelter program will host its sixth-annual Polar Plunge in Southold at The Wharf House at Founders Landing, located on Terry Lane & Hobart Avenue, Southold. South Fork Relay for Life Date Set For May 31

Please join us for the South Fork Relay for Life to support, raise awareness and fight against cancer together. The South Fork Relay for Life is being held on May 31 starting at 6 p.m. to June 1 ending at 6 a.m. The annual "Kick-Off" Celebration date is this upcoming Thursday, January 31 at 7 p.m. at the Bridgehampton School Gymnasium located at 2685 Montauk Highway-Bridgehampton.
