#70 - Take in the Shade, Beach and Bay at South Harbor Park

Hidden gem run by Southold Park District contains plenty of fun for the family.

Hidden from the hustle and bustle of Route 25, and cherry picked between Southold and Cutchogue, South Harbor Park is easy to miss among the vineyards and shops so characteristic of the North Fork.

But overlooking Hog Neck Bay at the end of the road, this park run by the Southold Park District is a hidden gem.

The park contains close to two dozen picnic tables and eight public grills, with ample shade from the trees dotting the park. Not to mention the sizeable beach overlooking Little Peconic Bay and the Morton Wildlife Refuge across the way.
