5 Things to Do This Week

Environmental and town board meetings, and a trip into New York City are a couple of things going on this week.

1. Monday night, the at George Young Community Center in Jamesport. The meeting will feature a presentation by a member of the Nature Conservency and the Peconic Baykeeper on the future impact of sea level rise on Eastern Long Island. The presentation follows NFEC's monthly board meeting, which starts at 7 p.m.

2. The meets for its bi-weekly work session on Tuesday morning at 9 a.m. A regular board meeting follows Tuesday night. Check back for coverage.

3. The Southold Library is organizing a into New York City on Wednesday. The bus leaves Southold at 8:30 a.m. and leaves New York City at 6 p.m. Cost is $23.

4. On Thursday, the Southold Historical Society is holding its at Soundview Restaurant from noon to 8 p.m. Cost is $20.

5. On Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Eastern Long Island Hospital auxiliary will hold a featuring handbags, purses and fashion accessories.
