Fall Has Arrived — Time To Serve Your Community

Getting back into the swing of it all.

The seed of truth is within your heart, it grows stronger the nearer you are to the source of love.

As the leaves begin to change and the sounds of school buses fill the air it all implies that fall is here. This year the fall season began with a bang, . Even though the wasn't destroyed by the water that rests on both sides of us, the and took down many trees. Thank God for the bond of family and community because we survived the storm.

Now its time for the children to begin their year in new adventure at school. This year was different for me then all the rest, now all three of my sons attend school together. My 5-year-old began kindergarten this year and it felt like a huge accomplishment for us as parents. Seeing him climb up the stairs to the big yellow bus that he loves to call it eased my heart that wow I did it, I have prepared him for the next step into his life, moving up to the big school. As parents we sometimes miss out on the small joys because we get so tied up with life around us, but this was a moment that allowed me to grow even more as a being, as a mother, and most importantly a woman. After nine months of carrying my child and nursing them up to where they can walk and talk. To see them being able to take on the world is amazing.

So with that l am now planning out my fall schedule. The first project that I am really working on is coordinating an amazing concert with so that the community in which he came from can hear the amazing music that he has created. We are looking to host in the first week in November and it will be an amazing production. I will keep my blog updated with all the details and you will have a chance to witness this extraordinary performer for yourself.

CA Enterprise is dedicated to change the lives of our youth. Providing them with a forum to express themselves and to become future leaders. Last school season Lily Dougherty-Johnson and myself created the program that offered the young people a chance to do something in their community to make it a better place. This year we are looking to expand that program and really focus on the youth and helping them to become leaders for tomorrow. This program means a lot because we all have made choices in our lives that we are not proud to say we did it, but someone somewhere believed in us again and provided a second chance. The children in today's world just want to be heard. The program will begin in Novemember and until we find a permanant building, Marc Lamaina of has been more then kind to allow us to use his shop. There will be postings and ads ran so that the community, parents, and youth can all get involved.

This word that I use so often COMMMUNITY, means family, hope, protection, and the ability to do more. This is why I feel ever child should have a chance to belong to a picture that is bigger than them.
