Wine Lovers Wanted: Share Reviews on Patch

We'd love to hear what locals have to say about the Long Island wine in their glasses.

Robert Parker, Hugh Johnson, Howard Goldberg and now ... you.

North Fork Patch would like to invite all the local lovers of Long Island wine to share their passions, and even their reviews, with the community.

It's like this. While the perspectives of learned wine experts are valuable due to the effort they've put into understanding the methods, environmental issues and personal stories behind each drop of wine in your glasses, and have trained their palates to hone in on the nuances in the flavor, they don't hold a monopoly on taste buds.

You've got them too.

In fact, we've already met tons in the community whose knowledge and appreciation of wine made on Long Island – from local grapes – is something worth sharing with the community.

So here's your chance. We're inviting everybody who loves local wine to share their perspectives on Patch, including anybody who works in the local wine industry. It only takes a minute to set up a Local Voices blog on North Fork Patch, and posting happens as fast as you can write your updates. Had a delicious North Fork merlot with dinner? Let locals know what it was, where you got it, and how you thought it tasted. And don't worry if you can't compare the bouquet to sun-dried gooseberries misted with lanolin or pen any other eloquent string of adjectives. If it's good, let the community know.

If you need any help, email henry@patch.com. I look forward to reading.
