Reader's Choice: Favorite Florist on the North Fork

From a dozen roses to wedding arrangements: We want to know which flower shop gets your business.

Flowers make a potent statement. Maybe it’s for a new special someone, an old flame or you just want to brighten the mood. Nothing has an emotional impact like a fresh bouquet.

There’s a natural bloom for every taste and occasion: A simple bunch of wildflowers, a dozen long-stem roses or an exotic orchid to sit on your windowsill. They accent weddings and symbolize funerals. And you can pick them up at roadside stops, grocery stores or florists.

North Fork Patch is looking to unearth readers' favorite place for flowers in town. Readers’ Choice is a new weekly feature where we ask you – our readers – to tell us your top picks.

Fresh is good. But so too is service.

Each Monday we’ll list our recommendations and on Friday we’ll tabulate all of the poll votes, comments, recent directory reviews and e-mails and crown a Reader’s Choice.

Please only vote once in the poll, because any attempt to game the results could end up in your favorite businesses being disqualified.

Our nominees:

Patty's Berries and Bunches

Laurie - I've suggested that Homeside Florist be added to the Riverhead Patch poll - please feel free to vote on that site when it is added. -- Thanks, Erin

Clark's and Patty's Berries have been added - thanks for the suggestions, keep them coming. We always like to keep our directory current and accurate and this helps us do that. -- Erin

Ivy League created beautiful floral arrangements for my daughters wedding last July. My daughter did not want the traditional arrangements but instead requested a floral display using 3 size mason jars on each table. The arrangements were creative and beautiful, just what my daughter requested. Thank you!

Truly miss Greenport Flower Garden (which was my baby)and the list above are not traditional full service flower shops with wire services etc, many being plant Farms & growers ---but in this day & time when flowers can be purchased in every supermarket & convenience store it's truly a hard business to be in....Clarke's Garden & Claw Flowers in Greenport are Great! Have always been a fan of Homeside for fabulous plants & full service deliveries & and Ivy league does a great job with the flowers at Church....Shelter Island Florist has always been excellent too

CJ VanBourdondien is awesome but not doing Retail Sales. Art and group at Ivy League are wonderful. They take very good care of our family no matter how small or big the request! From holding my son's hand while he ordered flowers for the first time to getting my wonderful neighbor gorgeous flowers as she relocated to Hawaii!! Thank You !!
