Locals are lucky on the Riverhead and on the North Fork — they don't have to go far to get that fresh turkey, duck or chicken roaster for a delicious main course on the Christmas table.
This year, the Bayview Market in Aquebogue is a busy as ever selling the famous Crescent Ducks along with tons of produce, seafood and other food items to plan your holiday meals. And Miloski's Farm in Calverton is cranking out the turkey, duck and capon (rooster) sales before the clock winds down.
Both markets will be open Christmas Eve day into the afternoon to ensure a fresh bird for the family feast, and local supermarkets are stocked up on lots of poultry selections as well.
