Peconic Public Broadcasting To Hold Fundraising Art Auction

The event is an alternative to on-air fundraisers.

Peconic Public Broadcasting will host an art auction on July 17th in an alternative approach to fundraising, Long Island Business News reports.

The auction will feature pieces from about 40 local artists, including April Gornik, Dan Weldon and Eric Ernst, among others. Dan Rattiner of "Dan's Papers" also donated a cartoon.

Peconic Public Broadcasting (88.3 WPPB-FM) will receive 40 percent of the revenue, and artists will take home 50 percent. The remaining 10 percent will be donated to the auction sponsor, deCordova Gallery.
