Noah's Restaurant to Expand Into Space Next Door

Renovations are almost done to the former Wild Things studio and art supply store.

After two years running a successful restaurant business on Greenport’s Front Street, chef Noah Schwartz of has decided to expand into the space next to his business left vacant by Wild Things art gallery and store this past winter.

And he’s very close to being ready for service. Schwartz said that the new space will connect the two locations with an open wall and wrap-around bar. He said he will also add draft beer from Greenport Brewing Company, a cocktail lounge section and spaces available to rent for private gatherings.

“We are close to opening – aiming for next weekend,” he said on Tuesday.

After working as the chef at the Seafood Barge in Southold, Schwartz opened Noah’s in January of 2010, taking the place of the short-lived Frisky Oyster Bar. Noah’s features seafood in small plates, a raw bar menu, and full bar service. He acquired the former Wild Things space in April.

“We’re finishing up the wood floors and will be hanging the same sort of globe lighting,” he said. “We’ve already gotten calls about renting out spaces for private parties — I think it’s a needed thing out here.”
